Honoring natural cycles with hatha yoga.
My private yoga classes draw upon traditional teachings to work with the ever-changing seasons in each individual’s life. My classes are body-neutral, neurodivergent-friendly, and welcoming to all experience levels.
I offer both in-person and virtual classes. I also have sliding-scale pricing available.
My approach
For me, yoga is not a workout, but a spiritual practice (called a sadhana in Sanskrit). Physical postures (called asana) are merely one part of yoga; they help prepare the body and mind for meditation. Apart from asana, there are seven other “limbs” of yoga. About me
Hi! I’m Amber. I am a trained instructor of traditional hatha yoga. I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA, but now live near Syracuse, NY with my husband. I am Autistic and have ADHD.
In addition to yoga, I am very interested in Hindu, Buddhist, and Taoist philosophy/cosmology. I also love writing, reading, cooking, brewing tea, and researching various topics like astronomy, geology, and ecology.
I have a strong affinity for the “unloved” creatures like reptiles, spiders, insects, etc. Currently my two main animal friends are my bearded dragon named Hades and my pinktoe tarantula named Sally.
